Joined 2 years ago from Saugatuck Michigan. Last activity 43 hours ago.

Hi friends, my name is Kathi . . . Since writing for hubpages I've met the most wonderful people who speak straight from the heart . . . Yes, I write about fossils and early Earth, but also about gardening, poetry, interesting places in my community and more. Yet, having written about the passing of my dear husband, Joseph, has had the greatest healing effect. I am forever changed, but through it all, have gained my deepest self.

Recently, I completed a book geared toward middle-age children to young adults. It's a prehistoric fiction based on my fossils as the characters who survive a lifetime of encounters by sticking together.

Coming out in May, 2013, on Amazon.com entitiled "Under the Sea Time Forgot."

Much about Oval Beach; and my Fun Summer Job

Oval Beach in Saugatuck, Michigan (USA) has always been a pearl among dune coastline tourist spots. Secluded from noisy development, it remains pristine largely thanks to well-established community preservation organizations. Me and my colleagues work there only during the tourist season between Memorial Day and Labor day. You'll have to read the article to find out what we do there. It's the funnest job I've ever had.
